to the west, and moving to the base and south out towards the marina it looks like the bay bridge is dry and there is still lingering activities and scattered around parts of the south bay outside east of fremont and it is moving relatively quickly and as a result, a winter storm worning is in -- storm warning is in place for the sierra and we still have a very productive week. we have showers out there at 11:00 o'clock, still quick moving showers and there is a possibility we will run into hail that is how unstable air mass is. here is a plan at least short- term, we will hold on mainly in the low 50s as you can see antioch is 53 and with a look a head, we will have 50s lingering into saturday. >>> the slide happened sunday afternoon north of five burn state park. a 50-foot section of the roadway is opened and they hope to have the park opened later this week. >>> santa clara valley water district said the storms have brought it to 102% this time of year. the reservoir requires 32%. >>> and getting more information about violent video games and what a company did to promote those games

of the east bay, right over the bay bridge at this time rain is falling and we have light rain over the marina district, the embarcadero, the downtown area over the union square. if you are gonna head out shopping, it will be wet. light showers falling over berkeley as well as walnut creek and danville seeing some light rain at times. the winds have really been blowing. so rain hectic enough. so when you include the winds, it can be stretcherrous, the winds in oakland, 17 miles an hour. 18 sfo. 16 in mountain view. these are sustained winds. the gusts have been strong eb at times -- stronger at times. mt. diablo, taking the cake. 58-mile-an-hour gusts reported there earlier this morning. as we head to the sierra, we've got a solid moderate line of rain heading into the foothills. and the snow line remains about blue canyon. it will fluctuate throughout the oakland right now we're seeing a mix of rain and snow. the farther north you go, the lower the snow levels. redding had a rain/snow mix this morning. this system is the parent low that will continue to send rain our way. we have three system

, pacifica, san francisco, the marina district, danville hills, belmont to san jose and mountain view and there's a window. some of the totals, about a .50 to 1.50. right over the marina district about 15 minutes ago. it was pouring. looks like things have let up. moderate to heavy rain. some moderate to heavy rain there over towards emeryville, the bay bridge, berkeley, oakland. you can see the red. that's pretty heavy. coming in right back to the east bay. you can see stretching there from concord, san ramon, 680 corridor, dublin, pleasanton, livermore, back to san ramon, pretty good line also from heyed -- hayward. back to the peninsula, there's been enhancement, especially san mateo, belmont, woodside. right along the san mateo coast near skyline, now stretching to the santa cruz mountains. south coast, woodstock, you can see mountain view head heading up and just getting to san jose. things are not look -- things are not as active there but they are getting there soon. you can see the santa cruz mountains. that whole line is moving. so forestville 1.30. san francisco, .75. i thin

is that of a man in his 60s. the body was spotted by people near the marina around 9 yesterday morning. police say the people who found the body helped pull it from the water. police have only identified the body as that of a white man in his 60s. detectives are working with the coroner's office to determine if the man's death was a homicide. >>> authorities have released the names of a father and son who died after they were swept into the sea while fishing near the golden gate bridge 37-year-old juan escamillo- rojas and nine-year-old juan escamillo-monroy died after waves pulled them into the water friday night. the father and son were fishing near the marin headlands. a fireboat crew pulled the two from the water, but they were both pronounced dead. another adult was also swept into the ocean, but survived. >>> a women's dog is dead after a man robbed her and then threw her dog into the street in san francisco's tenderloin district. police say the woman pulled over at leavenworth street near golden gate avenue around 5 p-m to use her cellphone and was approached by a suspect who demanded money

san francisco, we have moderate showers moving in. there's gary boulevard marina district. secondstreet in the marin head lands. you're starting to see showers, embarcadero we come out a little bit more. that area of showers are heading out moving in motion kind of a northeast deal. what we're going to see are these showers increasing throughout the evening hours. by the morning commute we're going the see wet conditions and so your morning commute is going to see a slow one just based on that. it's not a gully washer but there will be periods of moderate to heavy rain at times. really short lived. this is widely scattered stuff. tomorrow mid, 7:00, 8:00 in the morning we will see the stuff moving out. those yellows are all north of the bay area. that's when most of the rain has been. up in the santa rosa area, they've had about .2 of an inch of rain. this area will move late tonight early tomorrow morning. so your morning commute there it is at 6:00 a.m. that's significant rainfall after that red. that's going to represent some very significant rainfall in a short period.

the embarcadero area. along the marina, the sunset direct. it's hit or miss across the east bay. crockett you are in a bit of a dry spot. martinez, fairfield. it's shifting south, going slower than the models had predicted but eventually this is going to move out and we'll see scattered showers. more rain in storm for the weekend. winds picking up quite a bit in some spots. anywhere from 10 to 20 miles an hour. allie rasmus says it's still dry there at least for the time being. gifts picking up to 30 to 40 miles an hour. mt. diablo reporting near 50. it's gusting why out there and the wet weather is coming if you haven't felt it just yet into the sierra. we're seeing some light snow fall over i-80 right over blue canyon. there is a winter storm warning that starts later this morning. this has been delayed as well. it will last into sunday night. if you are going to be doing any type of travel, be prepared for this. if you are going north, snow levels are down to about 500 feet this morning and then will rise throughout parts of the weekend. the wind advisory until 10:00 for san francisco as w

, the marina area, the sunset richmond district, perhaps a few scattered showers falling on your rooftop as well. as i slide down to over south san francisco, half moon bay, san mateo still try at the moment. this will be on and off through the morning hours. and then it will turn to a steady, moderate to heavy rain at times for your afternoon. the wind will also be picking up along with the front and some active weather, a possibility with the storm thunderstorms definitely will be an issue if we get through the afternoon. you may see an isolated thunderstorm or two, i should say. your forecast here, anywhere from .50 to 1 inch for the north bay. .25 to 1 for the south bay. ant inch expected for the santa cruz mountains. not as much rain as we saw on sunday. it will be gusty at times and the ground is so satch sea uted, 2 won't -- is so saturated, it won't take a lot to topple trees. morning showers linnering erging through wednesday -- lingering through wednesday. i will be tracking the models for you. in the meantime, we'll continue with the dry weather through. weekend. back to you.
